As the Eagles secure the NFC East, Saquon Barkley surpasses the 2,000-yard milestone.
PHILADELPHIA — In the fourth quarter of the Eagles’ 41-7 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, which secured the team’s NFC East Division title, running back Saquon Barkley became just the ninth player in NFL history to dash for 2,000 yards in a season.
Wearing an NFC East title cap for the first time in his career, Barkley stated, “Being a fan of the game and the running back position, to reach a milestone and put myself up there with eight other backs that I respect, and some I grew up watching, definitely means a lot.” On the other hand, without this team, I couldn’t accomplish it. Without the greatness of others, you cannot be great.
