Orioles’ star outfielder reportedly suffers a broken hand during Wild Card elimination game.
A key Baltimore Orioles player sustained an injury during their Game 2 loss, which led to their elimination from the playoffs.
In the second half of the year, the Baltimore Orioles struggled, falling short of their performance before the All-Star break.
Injuries had taken a toll on their rotation and lineup, and eventually, it caught up with them. As a result, the offense had difficulty consistently producing runs.
Although the Orioles fell short of their goal to win back-to-back AL East division titles, they still clinched a playoff spot by securing the top Wild Card seed, giving them home-field advantage against the Kansas City Royals, who were also struggling.
However, Baltimore’s offense never found its rhythm. They were shut out in Game 1 and managed just one run in Game 2, ending their season in disappointing fashion.
The Orioles struggled with runners in scoring position throughout the Wild Card round, going just 1-for-13 and leaving 16 men stranded on base, adding to the frustration.
