BREAKING NEWS: QB Bailey Zappe joins the Browns’ active roster.
The Cleveland Browns placed quarterback Deshaun Watson (Achilles) on injured reserve and added quarterback Bailey Zappe to the active roster from Kansas City’s practice squad. LB Tony Fields II has also been waived by the organization from injured reserve. Additionally, the Brown cut T Sebastian Gutierrez from the practice squad and re-signed running back Gary Brightwell. Throughout the season, Watson started the first seven games. In addition to rushing for 148 yards and scoring a touchdown, he also threw for 1,148 yards and five touchdowns.
