In his return to form, veteran Rodgers shines as the Jets overpower the Patriots.

The 40-year-old threw two touchdowns in his first start at MetLife Stadium since tearing his Achilles in his debut last year. Rodgers, a four-time NFL MVP with the Green Bay Packers, received a warm welcome during the Jets’ first home game of the season.

“I felt pretty good. I was doing things I did when I was younger,” he said. “It feels great to play a full game in front of our amazing fans e Jets lost their first game of the season to the San Francisco 49ers but bounced back with a win against the Tennessee Titans. In Thursday’s game, Rodgers completed 27 of 35 passes for 281 yards. He previously helped the Packers win the Super Bowl in 2011 before being traded to the Jets last year.
