The Baltimore Orioles have once again claimed the top prospect position in baseball with Samuel Basallo. This is the fourth straight season an Orioles player has topped the FanGraphs prospect rankings. Basallo, who signed for a record $1.3 million at age 16 from the Dominican Republic, is expected to start next season in the minors but has made a strong impact in AAA Norfolk since his promotion. His outstanding performance places him alongside past top prospects like Jackson Holliday and Adley Rutschman, who also excelled in the minor leagues.
