Let It Airbnb… rental rooms available at former Beatles venue.
The Fab Four played some of their earliest shows here.
The Casbah Coffee Club, located in West Derby, Liverpool, hosted 13 performances by John Lennon’s first band, the Quarrymen, and over 40 by The Beatles.
Opened in 1959 by Mona Best, the mother of original Beatles drummer Pete Best, the club was set up in the basement of their family home.
Today, the Grade II listed building at 8 Haymans Green has been converted into five apartments available on Airbnb.
The rooms above the club, which closed in 1962, have been converted into suites named after John Lennon, Sir Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Stuart Sutcliffe (the band’s original bassist), and Pete Best.
Best, now 82, moved into the house at age 16 and recalls “fond memories” of growing up there and performing with the band.
“The Beatles played here, partied here, and even slept here,” he said.
He also noted that opening the house as guest accommodation serves as a “lasting tribute” to the band and fulfills his mother’s dream, giving fans the chance to walk in their idols’ footsteps.
