Bruins are fielding multiple veterans in their third preseason game against the Rangers.

After hosting their first two preseason games at TD Garden, the Boston Bruins will travel to Madison Square Garden on Thursday night to face the New York Rangers. This will be the second matchup in four days between last year’s Eastern Conference playoff teams, following the Rangers’ 3-2 victory on Sunday.

In their initial games, the Bruins focused on giving younger players a chance to shine, but head coach Jim Montgomery confirmed that several veterans will take the ice on the road. Against the Rangers, the Bruins will dress nine veterans to gain some playing time.
