Celtics vs. Warriors: Key Insights from Close Defeat to Golden State.

On Wednesday night, Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics nearly completed a remarkable second-half comeback against the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center. However, Stephen Curry, back in action after an ankle injury, led the Warriors to a hard-fought 118-112 victory.

The Celtics started strong, jumping out to a 14-3 lead. But the Warriors responded with a fierce 30-15 run, highlighted by two consecutive three-pointers from Kyle Anderson and solid defense that threw Boston off balance. Golden State leveraged a dominant 32-16 second quarter to build a 51-40 lead at halftime. Boston rallied with a 41-31 third quarter to come within a point, but a series of close-range plays—including free throws and putbacks—helped the Warriors seal the win in the fourth.

Curry tallied 27 points, shooting 8-of-17 from the field (including 4-of-9 from three-point range) and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line. He also contributed nine assists, seven rebounds, four steals, and a blocked shot.

The victory lifted the Warriors to an impressive 7-1 record, while the Celtics fell to 7-2 for the season.

Boston played without All-Star forward Jaylen Brown and former All-Star center Kristaps Porzingis, while Golden State missed bench guards Brandin Podziemski and De’Anthony Melton.
