Commanders QB Jayden Daniels Makes History by Sweeping Giants in Season Series
Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has been amassing milestones this season, similar to Thanos collecting infinity stones. Sunday’s 27-22 victory over the New York Giants marked yet another accomplishment for Daniels, as he led the team to a crucial divisional win and secured his place in Commanders history.
The Commanders-Giants rivalry, dating back to the 1930s, is among the NFC East’s oldest. Over the years, only a few rookie quarterbacks have managed to win both games in a season, but Daniels has now joined that select group.
He wrapped up the game with 15 completions on 22 attempts, totaling 209 yards and two touchdowns, both to wide receiver Terry McLaurin. He also contributed 35 rushing yards on eight carries, highlighting his dual-threat skills. This victory brings Washington to seven wins this season, marking their strongest start since 1996.
