TOP PERFORMERS: Canada Topflight Academy Soars into Elite American Prep Basketball League.

Canada Topflight Academy (CTA) has made a significant leap in North American high school prep boys’ basketball. Now in its ninth season, Ottawa’s leading program for developing university-bound basketball players is stepping into the prestigious Elite Prep League, one of the top post-grad circuits on the continent.

Founded and coached by Tony House, CTA is the only Canadian team in the league, which includes nine American teams from the eastern U.S. The 10 teams will compete in a seven-week schedule from December to February.

House expressed his excitement on social media, calling CTA’s acceptance into the Elite Prep League “one of the best days of my life.” He highlighted the effort put into establishing CTA as a national powerhouse and now, an international contender, in one of the top platforms in North America.

The Elite Prep League is designed for top high school graduates who return for an additional year to refine their athletic abilities and academic standing, aiming to secure scholarships at NCAA, JUCO, or U Sports institutions.

House will lead CTA’s National Gold team, which will represent Ottawa and Canada in the league, and also coaches the Senior Red team. Both teams are based at Notre Dame High School, while the Senior Black and Junior teams operate out of St. Pius X High School.
