Whatever you think of the Cornell Powell era, the wide receiver has managed to be involved and useful to the Chiefs for a longer period of time than many others in his NFL career. But on Tuesday, that period may have come to an end. The Chiefs formally chose to cut Powell from the team’s practice squad on Tuesday, according to the NFL’s transaction report. Considering the team’s other recent transactions, this move makes sense.
Tyquan Thornton, a wide receiver, reportedly reached an agreement with the Chiefs earlier this week to join their practice squad.
